USC Coach Donte Williams

Updated: Aug 13, 2021

USC is making great strides with the new coaches added over the past 2 years. Today we look at one of the rising stars in that group, Associate Head Coach Donte Williams. Donte joined in February of 2020 and has hit the defensive passing game defense with a new attitude and toughness. The other huge contribution is his amazing recruiting and I mean amazing. No one does it better and the quality of the players he is attracting is self-evident

The USC defense is moving in the right direction. Donte's path to USC was classic as he had tours with Oregon, San Jose State, Washington (grad assistant). While at SJSU he took the Spartans to #3 Nationally in overall pass defensive yards allowed under 160 per game. Coach Williams has an upward trajectory like no other coach I have seen come through Heritage Hall in a long time.

In case you were wondering about his personal football career he actually landed in the Arena Football league for 2 seasons before settling in on what we believe will be a long and successful career as a head coach one day soon.
