USC Football | Wyatt Hawkins – Talented Kicker

I have to be honest with everyone that I was not following Wyatt Hawkins when I first came in to contact with him. I haven’t witnessed any of his games and the links in this article are my window in to what appears to be a solid looking high school senior who might be very interesting to consider for USC Football as he is graduating in may with a 3.2 GPA. Looking through the array of video he clearly has the leg strength and some unique targeting capabilities. Wyatt reached out to me for guidance on recruiting and I want to see if we can get him some interest with our Trojans! Coach Snyder are you seeing what I am seeing. Wyatt is a senior at Carlsbad High School. Let’s not let another California athlete leave our great state!

We all know how impactful the kicking position can be. While Wyatt has done a great job of developing his place kicking his punting is more recent and has a year of development versus his tenure with place kicking. What I was seeing in the films (links below) shows me that he has some very interesting potential and my hope is to get him some looks and if the Trojan Family agrees with me lets send this link to the right pockets of influence where we can get him a phone call and perhaps a visit.

Stats Summary via Wyatt:

68.4 yard average on kickoffs long of 75. By the end of the season I had 26 touchbacks in a row. 6 for 11 for field goals. 1 was blocked. 3 were because I had to kick a ball with 5 psi in it. 100% for pats. My punting average was 39 yards. Current Offers

Western Colorado, Arizona Christian University, Culver Stockton College, and Central Methodist University. Texas Southern Univeristy is very interested, talking to Coach Brown consistently. Wyatt has been in contact with Towson Univeristy for quite some time. He had a home visit from Colorado State Pueblo. Preferred walk on at Eastern Washington, Sacred Heart and Saint Francis. He has kicked for Coach Harsin from Boise State, Coach Pentz from New Mexico State Univeristy, Coach Savage from University of Nevada, and Coach Ridley from Weber State all at Carlsbad high school.
